This three-day course (24 hours) is designed to provide information on human trafficking and its evolution. Participants will develop the skills needed to provide advice, counseling, or services to human trafficking victims by applying the experiences of victims, law enforcement, victim services advocates, and non-governmental organizations. Florida law which created privilege between human trafficking victim advocates, trained volunteers and the human trafficking survivor will be examined. Participants taking this training should have a fundamental understanding of victim advocacy and should be currently employed with or be a volunteer with an anti-human trafficking organization.
**** Students must pass a written examination, pay the tuition fee, and attend all three days to receive a certificate of completion. |
